- 🚛 Tow Truck Driver - flatbed recovery work, paid per delivery
Shift work, not a career change
Taxi and towing are gig shifts. Clocking on temporarily sets your job, and clocking off puts your old job straight back, so you can pick up a few hours of driving without giving up anything else. Crashing out or switching characters mid-shift restores it too.
What City Hall actually does
City Hall is the City Services blip on your map, and it does not hand out jobs. What it does do:

All paid from your bank. The driver's and weapon cards are printed proof of a licence you already hold, not a way to get one, so City Hall will refuse if you have not earned it yet.
The ped will also drop a GPS waypoint on any of the activity jobs if you cannot find one: construction, electrician, garbage, lumberjack, mining, oil rig, postal, recycling, taxi, towing and trucking. See Legal Activities for what those involve.
