🗑️ Garbage Collection
Garbage is a route job. You take a truck out of the depot, drive a list of stops, throw the bags on the back at each one, and bring the truck home for your payslip. It pays per bag, so the longer the route the better the run.
Starting a run
The Garbage Depot is on Innocence Boulevard in La Mesa, and City Hall drops a waypoint on it if you ask.
- At the depot, take a garbage truck. There is a small deposit, refunded when you bring it back.
- Your first stop appears on the GPS. Drive to it.
The route
Stops come one at a time, scattered around the south of the city, and there are a good few of them in a run.
At each one:
- Stand at the marker and press
Eto grab a bag. - Carry it to the back of the truck and press
Eto throw it in. - Clear every bag at the stop and the next one appears.
You can only carry one bag at a time, and the run will not move on while bags are still on the ground — so it is a job you can settle into rather than rush.
Getting paid
Bring the truck back to the depot and press E to end the run, then collect your payslip at the office next to the truck spawn.
You are paid per bag into your bank, your deposit comes back, and a full run is worth a few hundred a bag — enough that a whole route lands in the tens of thousands. On top of the cash you get a pile of recyclable material, which sells or trades at the Recycling Center, so a shift on the bins feeds straight into that.
Return the truck before you collect. Ending a run without the truck means no deposit back.
