🚑 EMS / Paramedic
Paramedics answer emergency calls anywhere on the map, treat and revive people where they fall, and bring the serious ones back to Pillbox Medical Center.

Ranks and pay
You are off duty by default. Paychecks land in your bank every 15 minutes while you are clocked on.
| Grade | Rank | Paycheck |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Recruit | $6,000 |
| 1 | EMR | $7,000 |
| 2 | EMT | $8,000 |
| 3 | AEMT | $9,000 |
| 4 | Paramedic | $9,500 |
| 5 | Chief Paramedic | $10,000 |
Chief Paramedic holds the boss menu, which sits inside Pillbox as well as the Sandy Shores and Paleto offices.
On top of the paycheck, every revive pays you $1,000. Reviving costs you a defibrillator, and patching someone up short of a revive costs a bandage. The patient is billed $2,000 to their bank and gets an email about it. Police, EMS and Doctors are never billed, and treatment is free for everyone during a Purge.
How the death system works
- Downed players have a five minute timer before the respawn option becomes available to them. In a hospital bed, that timer does not apply.
- A knockout is shorter, around a minute.
- Maximum health in the city is 250, not the stock 200.
- Dead players are muted until they are up again.
- At the hospital there is a nurse you can Check In with. If two or more Doctors are on duty, checking in pings them instead of treating the patient, and the patient has to check in a second time to be seen automatically. Below two Doctors on duty, the system just treats them.
That last rule is the one worth internalising. When you are on duty, people are waiting for you specifically.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/status | Get the health status of a player |
/heal | Heal the person in front of you |
/revivep | Revive the person in front of you |
Citizens call you with /911, /911a for anonymous, or /311 for non-urgent. They can also call or message Paramedics from the Services app on their phone.
Roleplay expectations
The mechanical part of a revive takes seconds. The interesting part does not. Ask what happened, work the injuries, talk to the patient on the way in. Someone who just got shot is having the most memorable thing that will happen to them all night, and you are the other half of that scene.
Do not walk into an active scene. Stage back and let police clear it first.
