đ FAQ
Q. How do I get into a match?â
A. Talk to the Arena Matchmaking ped in the lobby with E, or press F1 anywhere to open the
same menu. Pick a mode on the Arena page and queue. Unranked matches skip the ready check and
load you straight in after a 5 second countdown.
Q. What weapon do I start with?â
A. The Pistol Mk II, with no armor. That is the default for every matchmade mode. Custom lobbies can pick a different preset: Full Loadout, Pistols Only, SMG + Shotgun, Sniper, or Rifles Only.
Q. Is there ranked?â
A. Yes, on Team Deathmatch and Elimination. Free-for-All is unranked only. Ranked does not open up straight away: you play some unranked matches first, and the game tells you how many you have left.
Q. How does my rating work?â
A. You start at 1500. Ranked play needs 5 placement matches and 10 matches played before it unlocks for you, and matchmaking looks for opponents inside a rating bracket that widens the longer you wait. Unranked is first-in-first-out and ignores rating entirely.
Q. Do I keep anything between matches?â
A. Your stats, your rating, your friends list and your saved outfits stay on your account. Nothing about a match carries into the next one: every match hands you the same loadout as everyone else.
Q. Does my rank carry over between Legacy and Enhanced?â
A. No. The Legacy and Enhanced versions of Escape Arena are separate servers with separate ranked ladders, so your rating on one does not carry over to the other. You can also only play with people on the same version as you.
Q. Can I play with friends?â
A. Yes. Invite them from the Party page of the F1 menu and they answer with /paccept or
/pdecline. A party queues together and stays on the same side in team modes. For a private match,
create a custom lobby instead and hand out the six-character code.
Q. What happens if I leave a match early?â
A. You take the loss, and the rating change is voided for everyone still in the match so they are not punished for your exit. Repeat leaving inside 24 hours suspends you from matchmaking: 2 leaves is 5 minutes, 5 leaves is 2 days. Dodging a ready check has its own escalating cooldown of 5 minutes, 30 minutes, then 2 hours. All of these apply to ranked only. Leaving an unranked match still hands you the loss, but no cooldown is recorded against you.
Q. Where do I practice?â
A. Talk to the Freeroam ped in the lobby. You get a weapon menu, vehicles and teleports on
F2, and PvP is live in there. /leave brings you back to the lobby.
Q. Is recoil on?â
A. It is off by default. There is an Enable Recoil toggle on the Settings page of the F1
menu if you want it back. The same page has your team markers, unlimited stamina and the
Custom Crosshair.
Q. How do I change how my character looks?â
A. Talk to the Change Appearance ped in the lobby. That opens the full appearance editor and your saved outfits.
Q. How do I report someone?â
A. Open a ticket in the Escape Arena Discord. There is no in-game report command on the arena.
Q. How do I join the server?â
A. Open the join link for your version of FiveM: the Escape Arena Enhanced join link or the Escape Arena Legacy join link. Either opens the server in FiveM. You can also search for Escape Arena in the FiveM server list.
Q. Do I need FiveM Enhanced?â
A. No. Escape Arena runs on both FiveM Enhanced and FiveM Legacy, with the same modes, maps and rules, so you can play on whichever you have installed. See Legacy or Enhanced for how the two versions differ.
Q. Can I use graphics or sound mods?â
A. It depends on the version. On the Enhanced version, no: FiveM Enhanced runs with pure mode permanently on, so shader and visual packs do not load. That is a platform limit, not a server rule. On the Legacy version, yes for now: sound packs, tracers, visual packs and ReShade all work. That is current policy rather than a promise, and it may tighten if modified game files start being used to cheat. On both versions, anything that plays the game for you or shows you something you should not be able to see is cheating under the Arena Rules.
